Why NeuroLyf exists

I tried every habit app. None of them worked for me. Eventually I figured out why.

I've always struggled to build and stick to habits. For years I thought I was the problem. Too lazy, too inconsistent, not good enough.

It took a late AuDHD diagnosis to understand this is common for neurodivergent women like me. The apps we're handed weren't built for our brains. And they missed something bigger.

The cycle. The ebbs and flows of hormones across a menstrual cycle, PMDD, perimenopause. The shift in your energy, focus, mood and capacity.

You set the same target every day. You miss it, the streak breaks, and the app makes you feel like you failed. So you delete it.

I know that pattern, I've lived it. You were never the problem. The tools were.

So I built something different, something to bridge the gap. For neurodivergent women, trans and non-binary, for anyone those apps left behind.

I built NeuroLyf.

The name

NeuroLyf

Neuro — for neurodivergent. The community this was built for, and built by.

Lyf — life, and the root of the Welsh lyfio, to love. A nod to my Welsh nanna, and to loving life.

As a late-diagnosed, neuroqueer AuDHD woman, I spent years trying to build habits and track cycles. Too many times I watched them fall apart, thinking I was the problem.I built NeuroLyf because I needed it. Because I couldn't find anything like it. An app that adapts to me, not the other way around.Then I realised many of you might need it too. If you've ever deleted an app for missing a day, or forgotten it's there, this is for you.

On low-capacity days it asks for less, not more. You can anchor new habits to things you already do, so they stick. And the whole app shifts with where your body is right now.
Most cycle apps stop at predictions and a calendar. NeuroLyf connects your cycle to the rest of your life, your habits, mood, energy and capacity, day to day. It adapts across every life stage, not just a textbook 28-day cycle. So you see how your body shapes your days.
NeuroLyf works completely offline. Nothing syncs to a server, ever. Your data lives on your device and nowhere else. No analytics, no trackers, no cloud. Delete it all whenever you want. And if you'd like a copy, export as a CSV or PDF, or as JSON to move to a new device.
Flow Points are what you earn every time you check in. They only ever go up, and you never lose them. Harder days are worth more, not less. As your total grows you level up and earn achievements, and nothing you earn is ever taken away.
