In short: we collect your email address to send you waitlist updates. The app stores all your data on your device only. We never see it, store it, or share it. We don't use analytics or third-party trackers anywhere.

Who we are

We are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy sets out how we manage personal information in line with those obligations.

What information we collect

Waitlist (this website): When you join the waitlist at neurolyf.com.au, we collect your email address. Nothing else. Submissions are processed by Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service that stores your email and forwards it to us. Formspree is GDPR-compliant.

The NeuroLyf app: The app collects mood, energy, cycle, symptom, and habit data that you enter. This data is stored locally on your device only. We have no access to it, do not transmit it, and do not store it on any server.

What we do not collect:

  • We do not use analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing).
  • We do not use tracking cookies on this website.
  • We do not collect IP addresses for profiling or marketing purposes.
  • We do not collect sensitive health information through this website.

Why we collect your email address

We collect your email address for one purpose: to notify you when NeuroLyf launches and to send occasional waitlist updates. You will not receive unrelated marketing. Providing your email is voluntary. You can browse this website without providing any personal information.

How we use your email address

  • To send you a confirmation that you've joined the waitlist.
  • To notify you when NeuroLyf is available for early access.
  • To send occasional updates about the app's development. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We will not use your email address for any other purpose without your consent, and we will never sell it to any third party.

How we send emails and manage the waitlist

When you join our waitlist, your email address is securely collected and processed through Formspree, which safely forwards the form entry straight to us.

We then manage the waitlist and send all update emails directly from info@neurolyf.com.au using our Google Workspace (Gmail) business account hosted on our custom domain. We use this secure setup for all NeuroLyf communications, and we do not use external marketing platforms like MailerLite.

Every email we send includes a clear unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly at info@neurolyf.com.au to be removed from the waitlist at any time, and we will delete your record promptly.

How we store and protect your information

This website is hosted on Netlify, served over HTTPS. All data in transit is encrypted. Email addresses are stored only in secure, access-controlled systems. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access in accordance with APP 11.

The NeuroLyf app stores all data on your device only. None of it is transmitted to any server. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it unless you have exported a CSV copy first.

How long we keep your email

We keep your email address only while we need it for the waitlist. That means until NeuroLyf launches and we've been in touch, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, promptly.

If there's a data breach

Australia has a notifiable data breaches scheme. If your information is involved in a breach likely to cause serious harm, we will assess what happened and notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires. Your app data stays on your device, so it is not held by us.

Disclosure of your information

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties except in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Formspree processes your form submission, and Google Workspace (Gmail) hosts our email. Both handle your email address on our behalf and are bound by obligations consistent with the APPs.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business transfers: If NeuroLyf is ever acquired or merged, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.

International transfers

Formspree and Google Workspace may store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps so overseas recipients handle your personal information consistently with the APPs, including through contractual arrangements.

Age and younger users

NeuroLyf tracks periods, body changes and habits. Periods often start around age 12, so the app is built to be useful from the early teens on. We don't want to exclude the people who would benefit most.

The app keeps everything on your device. We never collect, see, or store what you track, whatever your age. A young person tracking their own cycle keeps that data on their own phone. It is not sent to us.

The waitlist on this website is different, because it collects an email. In Australia, we treat 15 as the age a person can sign up on their own. If you are younger than that, please ask a parent or guardian to join the waitlist for you.

Using the app in your early teens? We recommend involving a parent or another trusted adult.

We can't verify age from an email alone. If you let us know a waitlist signup belongs to someone under 15 without a parent or guardian's consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at info@neurolyf.com.au with any concerns.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary technical cookies required for Netlify's infrastructure. No personal profiling occurs through this website.

Social media

This website links to our Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pages. These are ordinary links. We don't use tracking pixels, and we don't run paid ads. When you click through, you are on those platforms, under their privacy policies, not ours. We don't control what they collect.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (APP 12).
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete information (APP 13).
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your email address at any time. You can also unsubscribe directly from any email we send.
  • Complaints: Lodge a complaint about how we've handled your personal information.

Contact us at info@neurolyf.com.au to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within 30 days.

App data: All health and habit data you enter into the NeuroLyf app is stored only on your device. We cannot access or delete it. You can remove it by deleting the app, unless you have exported a CSV or JSON copy first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will notify waitlist members by email. Continued use of the website or app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at info@neurolyf.com.au. We take all complaints seriously and will respond within 30 days.
